Accomodation | Getting There | Sample Itinerary | Lessons | Guides
This is a sample itinerary, determining factors are; skill level of riders, tides (some places are impassable at higher tides), group preference and crowds (if any).
Day 0 - Depart from your home airport.
Day 1 - Arrive in Fortaleza to the welcoming faces of the Kitesource Guide(s). You are then taken directly to your beachfront Condo in Cumbuco, approximately a 1/2 hour away and greeted with a cold beverage. It's straight out into the water for your first kite session (depending on arrival time of course).
Day 2 - Wake up at your own time and join us on the beach in front of the condo for a morning session to stretch out your legs and get your gear dialed in. If you are here for lessons, you will be getting started today!
A first day group lunch is in order and your guide will take you for a walk through town and introduce you to some of the local restaurant options and night spots. Then it's either an afternoon nap, more beach sessions in front of the condo, or a lazy afternoon in the beach front pool sipping cold drinks.
Day 3 - Today is all about Cauipe lagoon! Options exist to either downwind ride to the lagooon (6km) or jump in the buggy and drive to this flat water paradise of kiteboarding. Here you will experience why Brazil is where the pros go to train... and you will likely see some faces you recognize from the kiting magazines here. Ride, sit in the shade, ride, eat some fresh seafood, ride, try to wipe the ridiculous grin off your face, ride, and jump in the buggie for a ride back to the condo. Shower up, and head out for dinner and drinks.

Day 4 - Another day downwinding to Cauipe lagoon, here we really encourage everyone to at least attempt the downwinder... it's really fun once you get the knack for it, and will be useful in the days to come...
We can certainly give some pointers or a full fledged lesson on this type of riding... just let us know.
Day 5 - A flex day, everyone should have knocked the cob webs off their riding by this point and many of you will want at least a half day off the water, but regardless what you do with this day, make sure you rest up...
Day 6 - Depending on your skill level and desire, we will downwind in part or whole to Taiba, hit the lagoon for a bit and then continue the downwinder into Paracuru for an evening session. The buggy(ies) will have lunch and refreshments available during the trip and we will be staying the night at the Kitesource Kite House in Paracuru for the next two nights!
Day 7 - Ride the Paracuru kite spot! Like waves? This is your spot. There's a beautiful reef break just outside the flat water (mid to low tide). Flat water fan? You'll be blown away by this spot as well. It's why we built a house there!
Paracuru has a different than Cumbuco night life, but very charming and relaxed. Rest assured your guide(s) know Paracuru like the back of their hands. Our second night in Paracuru, floating in the pool before bed...
Day 8 - Lagoinha here we come. One of the most picturesque places we've been in Brazil, amazing ocean riding with a few great beach bars (Baracas) to sit at and watch your fellow kiters. A morning session (depending on the tides) and then off to donkey lagoon to spend the rest of the day at another flat water paradise. This is truly a Brazilian kiting experience and not to be missed.
Depending on tides, we'll either high tail it back to Cumbuco or saunter into Paracuru for another night there.

Day 9 - Depending on the previous evenings decision, it's either another day riding in Paracuru, a quck trip back to Cumbuco or a morning session in Cumbuco. We'll call this a Flex day!
Day 10 - By this point you'll be begging for another day at Cauipe, so that's what we'll do... fried red snapper anyone?
Day 11 - From here, we'll decide to do some more downwinders, ride the Taiba lagoon or back to Paracuru... it's really a matter of the conditions, the number of people riding different locations, the tides and the groups preference. At this point everyone knows the options and will likely have their favourite(s).
Day 12 - Cumbuco? Taiba? Parcuru? Ocean riding? Downwinding? Lagoon? All of the above?
Day 13 - Flex day, any of the close to Cumbuco options are fair game. Many people with early departures the next day will want to clean and pack for their departure, those with later flights can ride until the sun goes down... our last night together, couple of drinks out on the town perhaps?
Day 14 - Early departure? Last early morning session before heading for the airport? Crying softly to yourself and questioning why you have to go home? Regardless, the day will end with you on or near a plane heading north, your bags full of sandy clothes (hopefully not sandy gear) and your head full of amazing memories.
Day 15 - Arrive back home.
